What is the Regional Events Program?
One of two funding pools we have open to regional event holders, REP provides support to major regional events that are seeking over $40,000 in funding.
The aim of the funding program is to support medium to large regional events which bring more people to the region and create visitor spend, attract media coverage which promotes the destination, involves the local community and adds vibrancy to the region, supports local jobs and encourages visitors to come outside of the typical tourist season.
How to apply?
Applications for REP are evaluated against the program criteria, Tourism WA’s annual budgets and overall strategy.
Your event must also be held within one of WA's nine regions as determined by the Regional Development Commission Act 1993 . These regions are the Peel, South West, Great Southern, Wheatbelt, Mid-West, Gascoyne, Goldfields-Esperance, Pilbara and Kimberley.
REP funding is awarded on a case-by-case basis and funding proposals must be submitted at least 12 months prior to the event date.
